It starts with a spark, an interest or a revelation. For me, it was learning about the civil injustice of voter disenfranchisement in the seventh grade that started my passion. A simple curiosity turned into a force driving me to delve into the profusion of inequities afflicting people locally and globally. Throughout speeches, papers, and research I explore how racism fuels the issues of the present, whether apparent or subtle. My aim is to bring awareness of the injustices that lay beneath the surface and challenge what we are comfortable with. I strive to bring equality in the small ways I can, to dissect the disparities which many are unaware of. My desire to increase cognizance and sensitivity lead to the creation of this blog, I hope it can inspire you to question and become your spark.
